September 20 Saddle Fit Clinic and Saddle Swap
Come join us on September 20 for a unique Saddle Fitting Clinic experience.

We know it's hard to find the right saddle for you and your horse -- and hard to tell when it's right! Not to mention the expense of buying a saddle only to find it doesn't fit your horse or you!

Bring your horse and your saddles, including those that don't fit, and get expert saddle fit advice from Stacy Berger. Stacy has helped hundreds of people find the proper fit while working with Cary Wallace and Custom Saddlery. As a saddle fitter, Stacy’s goal is to assist riders in achieving their performance goals by helping them fit the right saddle to their horse for a great fit!

Stacy will work 1:1, with other participants observing, to help you determine if your saddle fits properly, and if not, what to look for in a proper saddle fit. We also ask all of our participants to share their saddles so that participants can try multiple saddles learn more about proper saddle fit -- and maybe even find the RIGHT saddle for their horse. Participants are welcome to sell or swap their saddles during the day.

Space is limited to only 10 participants. The cost for the clinic is $50 tax deductible donation per participant with all proceeds going directly to Performance Equine Rescue Network (THANK YOU STACY for donating your time for this event)..
Auditors are also welcome to come and observe for $15 per person.

Participants should bring their horse, saddles and pads, a chair and lunch. Please label your saddle and pad with your name and price (if willing to sell or swap) so that we don't have any confusion over saddle ownership. We will have soft drinks and bottled water for sale on site.

About Stacy...

Stacy grew up in California.  A typical ‘horse crazy’ girl, she spent every moment she could around horses.  As a teen, she rode western on the trails with her friends.

While in college , Stacy took her love of trail riding a step further and started riding in endurance rides.  At her first endurance ride she became aware of the importance of correct saddle fit and balanced riding to enable the horse to do his job well and injury free.    During the lunch stop of the ride, the ride veterinarian showed Stacy how her horse was starting to become sore, likely from a poor fitting saddle.  Recognizing that saddle fit impacts the performance of horses, she became passionate about learning about saddle fit for both the horse and the rider.   She also started taking dressage lessons to improve her riding.

Additionally, Stacy has studied how to keep a horses back in sound, healthy shape.  Over the years, Stacy has taken many courses in equine body work, studied equine biomechanics, and learned from various professionals about the care of performance horses.

In 2005, Stacy was presented with the opportunity to learn and work with Cary Wallace and the Custom Saddlery team.  She was thrilled!    As a saddle fitter, Stacy’s goal is to assist riders achieving their performance goals by providing comfortable saddles and on-going support and service to ensure a continued good fit.

Stacy currently resides in the Sierra foothills above Sacramento with her husband Jim, their 4 horses, dog ‘Jojo’, and a few kitties.  She continues to enjoy riding on the trails, jumping, dressage and other recreational equine pursuits.   Her other interests include practicing the martial art of Aikido, hiking and traveling.
